Pupils able to participate in team competitions and leagues organised by the Bedale Cluster allowing pupils to experience higher level competition. 100% of KS2 pupils have been able to access Level 2 competition this year

Pupils are provided with the equipment necessary to develop their expertise in a wide range of sporting and outdoor activites. School able to provide full range of sporting activities

Opportunity for pupils to experience High Quality outdoor education leading to greater self -esteem, team working and resilience. Also developing  a positive attitude towards the outdoors for the future.

Golf Lessons KS2 Sep – Oct


Squash Lessons KS2 Oct-Nov






Participation in a range of diverse sports to help develop all pupils’ interest in sporting activity.

All Y5/6 pupils were given a series of lessons by a golf professional.

All pupils were taught by an experienced squash player, allowing them to participate in a new sport.  Five pupils extended this opportunity to compete in a squash Tournament which they won before going on to represent the school at the next level.

Gymnastics Coach x6 weeks for 2 hours





Pupils able to access High quality Gymnastics Tutoring leading up to participation in Cluster Tournament.

Participation in series of outdoor activities designed to develop team building skills and encouraging pupils to challenge themselves. Activities developed pupils self esteem evidenced by positive behaviours in school.

After School Sports Coach


Pupils able to access High quality sports coaching across a range of different sports leading to increased participation in after school clubs.

Coach working alongside staff to provide CPD for future years

Traversing Wall in school field (YR-Y6 )


Providing the school with sporting equipment that promotes outdoor activities and opportunities for pupils to work together and challenge themselves.  The wall will offer an additional sporting opportunity for pupils in school and encouraged them to broaden the range of sports that they participate in.
